About the University
LUISS (Liberà Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali) is a private Italian university located in one of the most beautiful areas in Rome. The University has three faculties (Economics, Law and Political Science), plus a Business School, and it offers a variety of programmes and courses in English for students from all over the world. Thanks to its affiliation with the Italian Industrialists’ Confederation, LUISS has close ties to the country’s industrial concerns which operate internationally as well.
In the more than forty years since its founding in 1966, LUISS Guido Carli University has thus played a key role in Italy’s economic and cultural development. Not only it has trained world-class leaders sensitive to the values of market culture and the rules of a modern democracy, but it has also made important academic contributions in the fields of economics, law and political science.
Since 2006, LUISS has adopted a new internationalisation strategy in order to be more competitive in the higher education sector. To this extent, the University is developing an increasing number of partnerships with higher education institutions from many European, American and Asian countries with the purpose to create a solid International Academic Cooperation Network. This strategy has opened many opportunities to foreign students who want to improve and increase their academic curricula in Italy.
