Some Master’s programmes take 1 year, others take 2 years. For information on the Master’s programme of your choice, please visit the website and read more about the duration, the courses and the academic title you will receive after completing the programme.
3. Admission requirements and procedure for PG and PhD studies
Only Master’s programmes are taught in English. In order to be admitted to a Master’s programme at the Radboud University Nijmegen, you need:
- a Bachelor (undergraduate) diploma in a similar discipline as your choice of Master’s programme.
- English Certificate:
- IELTS 6.5 or
- TOEFL: 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based) or
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE), Cambridge Certificate Proficiency in English (CPE).
After sending us the required documents, we will assess your request for admission. Generally, you receive the final decision after 8 weeks.
In case you request admission to a programme where an interview is part of the admission procedure, you will be contacted by the programme coordinator for further details about the interview, and other requirements.

4. Financial Aid
Tuition fees for EU-EEA students are approximately €1565 for one academic year (based on the fees for 2008).
Radboud University does not offer financial aid for EU/EEA students.
For students from non-EU/EEA countries, there is a possibility to apply for the Radboud Scholarship Programme. When awarded, this scholarship will reduce the tuition fee to the EU/EEA-amount and will also cover the costs for visa and insurance. More information and how to apply on www.ru.nl/rsp.

If you are an EU/EEA student and you apply before 1 May, Radboud University will arrange accommodation for you. If you apply after this date, we still may be able to assist you with accommodation, but no guarantees can be given.
If you are a non-EU/EEA student, this date is 1 March 2009. We will then also assist you in applying for your visa and insurance in order to enter the Netherlands.
Accommodation possibilities vary from dorm rooms to rooms in privately owned student-houses, or even private apartments. The average prize for a furnished room is €350.
