Studycentral enjoys success in Russia

Representatives from Studycentral took the opportunity this September to visit clients and participate in the British Education Exhibition in Saint Petersburg. The event was a huge success with over 30 institutions from across the UK in attendence.

Saint Petersburg was the first of four stops along the tour which saw UK education providers recruiting students in Novosirbirsk, Yeketerinburg and Nizyu Novgorad.

The morning of the event consisted of UK institutions presenting themselves to a number of agents from in and around Saint Petersburg. As pens moved across paper to take down the key points, the British Council representative provided a brief overview of the state of the Russian student recruitment market. Along with other equally interesting facts it was said that over the past year the number of students from Russia studying in the UK had risen from 10,000 to 20,000 students.

The exhibition was formally opened by Isobel Oliveira, Deputy Director of the British Council in Russia, to eager students.
