BEC Education and Chosun-Ilbo, one of the leading daily newspaper companies in South Korea are organising the most comprehensive Education Fair in October 2008 in South Korea. The UK Education Expo Korea 2008 is designed exclusively for British Independent Boarding Schools to offer a forum for the schools to introduce their academic institution and recruit highly able and intelligent students from South Korea. The Expo will consist of a two-day exhibition in Seoul and a two- day of interview and consultation with prospective students for administration procedures in our Seoul and Bundang offices.
Although this is the first official convention under the name of BEC, Kevin Jang, the managing director of BEC Education has held a number of education exhibitions in Korea which were all greatly successful. BEC Education is one of the biggest agencies recruiting outstanding scholars from South Korea to UK independent boarding schools. In return for schools’ participation, BEC Education is committed to provide a minimum of one prospective student joining their school following the event.
The Expo is sponsored by the British Council in Korea, Samsung Culture & Education Centre and JungAng Ilbo. It will be the most publicized UK educational exhibition ever to be held in Korea.

The Fairs Aims/Focus
THE UK EXPO Korea 2008 aims to establish a link between students in Korea and UK schools to maximize schools’ direct contact with potential clients. By doing so, we hope to create an opportunity for potential students to choose the right school in accordance with their academic career, whilst enabling schools to recruit able students wishing to pursue education in the UK.
In order to allow schools being able to select students who meet the entry criteria of the school, we will arrange separate rooms for an entry test at the exhibition. For those who are not able to take the entry test at the venue, an alternative day for the test will be arranged. On the basis of the results of the entry test, schools will arrange meetings and interviews with students in whom they are interested. These meetings will take place for two days after the two-consecutive days of exhibitions.
There will be an Extensive Publicity Campaign including advertisements in leading newspapers, advertising banners in the internet, outdoor banners at prime locations and press conference for the promotion of the event. In addition, the Expo committee will send invitation cards to selected International Schools in Korea to invite students having prepared to study at English institutions abroad.
By providing a carefully selected audience, entry test on the spot and following consultation and administration procedures, we aim to provide the most efficient and economical way of recruiting academically advanced students.
Join the UK EXPO Korea 2008 with other leading UK independent boarding schools to introduce your school to Korea, having the fastest growing number of students studying abroad, and recruit outstanding and motivated students as you desire!
